picture time!

Also while in Selma for Spring Break, we had Mary Martin's 18 month portraits done. I "borrowed" a few from David Hagood, who is excellent if ever you need pictures in the Selma, Alabama area. It looks like she's thrilled with the bunny, but she was very unsure of him. JuJu was doing 'peek-a-boo' back there to make her smile. I cropped my foot out of the pic, as I am standing by to wrangle the bunny.
We started at the Episcopal church in the courtyard. I wish you could see her dress up close, it is absolutely gorgeous. Also done by a lady in Selma!
Wardrobe change! Now, we are in someone's yard, and she's warming up to the bunny (who is enjoying a tulip leaf!). I don't think I'll order this picture, but I love her expression. She's looking at me like, "Really? I can pet him?"

Happy Easter!

Again, my photos are mixed up, but I think my 4 or 5 readers are bright enough to put the pieces together! We hid some Easter eggs for MM, she was not into it!
It looks like she's excited about her basket, but she's really excited over that bracelet she nabbed out of my mom's jewelry box.
We got a talking Elmo and a new Elmo ("Ba-bo") video, since after the trip to the beach mommy and daddy can recite both of the old ones! The bunny also brought some bubbles, and an outfit and a soft fluffy bunny.
We didn't get a great family photo all dressed up because nap time is 11, and we got home at 12:30. She was SO over picture time!
Getting ready for the big egg hunt.. that's my mom, aka Dede
"Dede, why'd you put me down? Pick me back up!" Also, don't you just love those legs? Nothing about them says "i was a 2 pounder."

You know that old hymn "Up from the grave He arose?" Well, for the first time in 29 years, my church in AL did not sing it today! I was a little disappointed, but as I hum it to myself right now I am filled with joy that we DO serve a RISEN SAVIOR! Happy Easter friends!

Spring Break

My photos never end up in the right order.. but here we are at the beach. MM didn't like the sand at all! She wanted to be held the whole time! It was also very windy, not very enjoyable for any of us, so we only stayed about 15 minutes!
Daddy walked around with me to keep me entertained while Mommy tried to lay out
Here we are back at the house, much less windy. Is she not precious in her swimsuit!?!?
Oh, look! A chair I can climb in and out of! We had fun, we got to see some friends who live in Baldwin County and eat lots of good food. We took Mary Martin to a 'nice' restaurant one night, GR called her the "ticking-time bomb" she did pretty good though.
JuJu made this adorable (and yummy) sunflower cake for us when we went to the farm.
Mary Martin had big fun on the tractor with Daddy!
I know George Robert was thrilled that she loves tractors just like he does!
Our first day at the beach.. notice she's all bundled up. It wasn't cold, just very windy!
She had the best time with both of us there and we needed a little fam-time just the 4 of us. Yes, Gus got to go, too.

our mess-maker

Exhibit A: check out our nice white shirt after spaghetti day at school!
Exhibit B: I realize it was my fault for leaving the step stool right there so she could so easily climb up and grab the container of cheerios.
Gus was very eager to help clean up. You can't see it really well, but her bunny shirt is precious. JuJu gave it to her!
