funny girl

my favorite place i'm NOT supposed to play!

"I can run faster, jump higher, and think better in my Elmo socks." (remember that movie 'the sandlot' when the little boy said he could do all that in his p.f. flyer tennis shoes?) They have replaced the boots for today as our favorite footwear. She would run all around, then stop and look straight down at her "Bobo" socks, giggle, and take off again. The best $1 ever spent. They were in the bargain bins at Tarjhay. We had the best day today! (no school) We can't wait for summer.

A day in the life...

Just a few snapshots of what Mary Martin has been up to lately. She found some boots in her closet that are 3 1/2 sizes too large, but she doesn't care. She brings them to me saying, "shoe," and holds up her foot. The first time she walked in them was HILARIOUS. She also has been enjoying quite a lot of "Elbo." Her favorite book is Dr. Seuss' Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You? and she LOVES LOVES it. George Robert and I both read it to her at least 5 times a day. She can tell you 'pop pop' and 'knock knock' when you get to the page. She will be 19 months old on the 19th and she is just more fun every day!
